The duties of the Mayor include:

• Presiding over the Council meetings
• Overseeing all departments
• Liquor Commissioner
• Appointing the City Clerk, Chief of Police, and Building Inspector

Dennis Hostetter is the current Mayor of the City of Windsor. Dennis is a graduate of Windsor High School, Lake Land College, and University of Illinois. He is married with three children. Dennis is proactive in obtaining grants and upkeep of the City's infrastructure. Should you have any comments or questions, please feel free to e-mail the Mayor.

The City of Windsor has a Mayoral-Commissioner form of government. The Council consists of the Mayor and four Commissioners. The Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor to oversee the various departments.
