This monthly newsletter helps keep you informed and up to date on current events in and around Windsor. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, July 20, 6:30 – City Hall (mark your calendars). Everyone is encouraged to attend with ideas and comments.

 

Our Perennial Plant Sale moved us closer by $875 to our goal for the “Windsor Welcome Signs”. Thank you to all who participated with donations of plants, time and money.

 

July 2 – 5:30 p.m.

American Legion Friday Night Supper “$1 night”. Hamburgers, hotdogs, brats. . . $1 each. Come start your holiday weekend with us.

 

July 5 – 6:30-9:00 p.m.

JoAnn Brandenburg’s Retirement Reception. Come show your appreciation for Mrs. B’s 45 years of teaching! Reception held at  the Walkway – South Lakeland Blvd. – Mattoon.

Ash Grove Christian Church VBS. “Where Kids Join Forces with God”. For information call:

FREE Blood Pressure Check. Community Building.

American Legion Friday Night Supper. Public is invited.

 

July 17 – 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

 “Main Street Market” farmers market, flea market, etc. Vendors needed. For more information call 459-2657.

 

July 21 – 11:30 a.m.

Peacemeal’s Soup & Salad Lunch. Donation. Third Wednesday of each month. Public is invited.

 

July 24 – 6:30-9:00 a.m.

American Legion Breakfast. Last Saturday of each month. Public is invited.

 

July 25 – 10:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Civic Improvement Sunday Noon Meal. Baked steak, pork roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, green beans, roll and dessert. Donation.

 

July 25-29 – 6:00-8:30 p.m.

Smyser Christian Church VBS “Hero Headquarters”. Closing program – July 30, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

 

July 29 – 2:00-6:00 p.m.

Jr. Women’s Club Annual Blood Drive. Windsor Christian Church Fellowship Hall.

Sleeping Bags for the Homeless are being made at the Windsor Methodist Church. For information call Susie Bouck – 459-2359.

 

Friends of the Library had a terrific bake sale. Thanks to all who participated and donated.

 

The Civic Improvement Group will once again provide pies for Harvest Picnic’s Saturday Night Meal. Anyone wanting to bake a pie or make a donation, please call Juda at 459-2248 or Linda at 459-2335.
